What does a typical working drawing package consist of?

A set of drawings used to apply for a building permit would usually consist of:

  • Site plan
  • Layout floor plans
  • Elevations (all required)
  • Sections
  • General notes and details
  • Specifications

This set, for a 2-storey house with a second storey addition would consist of ~12 drawings.


What would the cost be for this set of drawings?

A 2-storey house with an addition, added storey, or major renovation would be approximately $4000.00.  However, costs will vary, depending on the complexity of the work.


Is design included in this price?

Initial consultation with four dedicated hours of design time is included. Design time includes any work that can be done under BCIN qualifications. It does not include engineering time, which is charged depending on the complexity of the work.


What is the background of TDS designers?
